I was stressed out, and living in the city, but nature and open, green spaces, always helps to calm me down. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I made the game generate a random plant based upon a random word. It was super rough, and didn't look great, but I was just making it to take my mind off things.I showed this little game to a few people, and it seemed to connect with them. I noticed that people would always do very similar things the first time that they played. They would type in their own name, their pets name, loved ones etc, to see what kind of plant would grow. It was amazing to see them connect the plant to the person. Maybe the plant was very chaotic and messy, which made them think of their cat, or tall and graceful like their partner.I saw this happen with enough different people to convince me that I should turn this idea into a full game. I hope that it connects with more people, and maybe even helps you if you are having a hard time, like the original prototype did with me. 7aa9394dea Title: The BotanistGenre: Casual, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:Jamo GamesPublisher:Jamo GamesRelease Date: 5 Oct, 2017 The Botanist Portable Edition the botanist gin bevmo. the botanist route 110. the botanist orakei. the botanist auckland. the botanist alderley edge. the english meaning of botanist. the botanist bali. the botanist uniform. the drunken botanist pdf free download. the botanist edinburgh. the botanist york opening times. the botanist euclid avenue wickliffe oh. the botanist in canton. the chinese botanist's daughters english subtitles. the botanist melville ny. the botanist vegan food. the botanist trinity. the botanist locations. the botanist ohio menu. the botanist newcastle tripadvisor. the botanist chester discount. the botanist easter. the botanist york cocktail making. the botanist duty free. the botanist etm. the botanist store. the botanist would like to increase. the botanist offers. the botanist lakeside. the botanist alderley edge menu. the botanist duty free sydney. the botanist mixing glass pack. the botanist food. the botanica vaucluse. the botanist manchester. the botanist cocktail menu. the botanist and the vintner. brazie the botanist quest. the botanist 7 sloane square london. watch the chinese botanist's daughters full movie. the botanist islay dry gin review. the botanist chester jobs. the botanist venue hire. the botanist discount. the botanist gin cocktails. the botanist gift pack. the botanist 40 off january. the botanist pub. the botanist queens blvd. the botanist auckland. the botanist vancouver menu. the botanist tamarind square. the botanist restaurant bath. the botanist manchester deansgate. the botanist buffalo. the botanist warrington. the botanist 22 gin price. the botanist jb. the botanist gin. the botanist book. the botanist queen street. the botanist chester bottomless brunch. the botanist easthampton ma. the botanist careers. the botanist brunch. the botanist farnham menu. the botanist phone number. the botanist bristol. the botanist free flowing. the botanist leeds. the botanist wiki. the botanist 5cl. the botanist instagram. the botanist honduras. the botanist knutsford 50 off. the chinese botanist's daughters free download. the botanist opentable. the drunken botanist free pdf. the botanist gin. the botanist gin 1l uk. the botanist oxford. the botanist east farmingdale. the botanist london menu. the botanist gluten free menu. the botanist ec2. the botanist dispensary fargo nd This game is a lot more fun than I expected it to be! I finished it in 6 hours, but I am pretty sure I will play it again. I haven't seen all the plants yet! I do hope more plants and pots, and new ranks\/goals, are added in the future.. This game is so much fun and super addicting. It is relaxing and cute and I just love it. Time just flies by as you play. If you love plants, definitely get this game.. TL;DR: Buggy but still playable. Randomly generated plants are fun to look at, especially the trees. Graphics are beautiful. Audio's kinda bad -- repetitive soundtrack, very few sound effects, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment. Overall it's a pleasant experience that you can only get here. Getting more in-depth, there're a couple things to know if you want to enjoy this game. First, there's a trash-bin to your left. Use that to get rid of the pot currently on your desk, or throw away seeds that you don't particularly like. Note that doing that second thing makes the seed count glitch out, and you'll end up opening a brand new seed packet to find anywhere from one to four seeds inside. It's still kinda worth it, because otherwise your seed drawer fills up with junk.Second, you can't edit or delete entries in your seed journal (from what I can tell), so only record ones you actually care about, and make sure it's accurate before you send it in. Also, you might encounter a glitch where you enter the seed journal to find an entry already open, right-click out of it, and discover your cursor is stuck in the middle of the screen. Just back out, go back in, close the entry, and this time it'll work. Having to do that every time does get old, though...Third, you can rotate the circular thingy on your desk if you want to get a better look at your current plant, and you can put multiple plants in certain pots. Using planters to try out your five newest seeds at once is recommended.Lastly, there's a bug where, if you try to grab a new pot when one is already on your desk, you'll get stuck halfway between the pot shelf and your desk, and you'll have to exit to the menu and start the day over. That one kinda sucks, so watch out.The rest of the issues are kinda minor. A few typos, a noticeable lack of sound effects, disappointing randomly generated plants, an overabundance of sameface succulents, the depressing sense that the main character has no friends and never ventures outside... but it's really more good than bad. You get to settle into a comfortable routine of discovering new plants, filing them away in your notebook, fulfilling requests, and acquiring new pots. You get to experience the frustration of just starting out, the pang of rejection, and the satisfaction of a job well done. Eventually, you're putting together genuinely beautiful arrangements using your best finds and your shiniest pots, and that feels pretty good. And the trees actually look amazing; they're my favorite part of the game. So if that sounds like a good time to you, and you don't mind the price, I very much recommend this game.. This game is a lot more fun than I expected it to be! It is casual and kind of repetitive in a relaxing way. I finished it in 6 hours, but I am pretty sure I will play it again. I haven't seen all the plants yet! I do hope more plants and pots, and new ranks\/goals, are added in the future.
